XTRACT is designed as a “dry shampoo”, i.e any surfactant residues dry quickly to a powder, rather than to oily liquids.

Overall you get a product that will initially wet the fibres of the carpet well (low surface tension), even modern synthetics which are very hard to wet , then dry quickly to a powdery residue with dirt encapsulated by surfactant.  Thus, any residues after extraction and drying can be vacuumed away.
